StoneFlower is the realization of our dream, to bring beauty to others through our craft and knowledge. We love what we do, and it shows in our work.
Owner: Andrew Melnicki
Andrew Melnicki has developed a true passion for the art of masonry, horticulture and landscaping in his more than 10 years in the industry.
With roots in Vermont, he learned from respected Landscape Designer Pete Mcguire of Colby Hill Landscape Company, where his eye for design was first cultivated and his talent in the field flourished. In 2017, Andrew relocated to Charleston and devoted 2 years as a Landscape Foreman at Brownswood Nursery on Johns Island. After further developing his masonry skills and polishing his plant knowledge for this area, he decided to branch out on his own.
StoneFlower Landworks is the culmination of many years of experience. Andrew's enjoyment in this work is evident in the product.
Owner: Frances Melnicki
Having grown up in a farm setting in rural Vermont, Frances has always been a horticulture enthusiast.
Frances pursued this interest for 2 years as a gardener with Colby Hill Landscape Company prior to her move to Charleston and employment with Brownswood Nursery on Johns Island. At Brownswood, she gained a passion for the art of ornamental gardening and gained invaluable comprehension about the unique Charleston grow zone. In her over 2 years working as a sales associate and manager, she polished her knack for arrangement and plant knowledge. Frances is dedicated to quality customer service and finds joy in creating beautiful containers and gardens for each client.
Since founding StoneFlower Landworks, LLC with her husband Andrew, Frances has expanded her love and underderstanding for the art of stonemasonry.
Foreman: Andy Martin
Andy Martin inherited his passion for being a craftsman from his family. His father is a carpenter and mother a tailor. They both valued their craft and passed their knowledge onto him. Andy has a love to create; even the smallest of projects gives him pure joy. Andy served in the U.S. Army as an airborne reconnaissance leader and he was a graduate of The Citadel. He fell in love with Charleston when meeting his wife and raising his two dogs here.
